Friends of South Huntsville has been created to facilitate the success of South Huntsville Main our designated Alabama Main Street non-profit in achieving its mission to support, promote, and advocate for businesses in South Huntsville, and to work with these businesses, the City of Huntsville, and community stakeholders to enhance the quality of life for South Huntsville residents.
We can ensure this success and meet the vision and mission of Friends of South Huntsville by providing the necessary financial resources to implement the work plans proposed by the committees of South Huntsville Main. The funds raised are expected to provide support for activities and projects such as the following:
- Façade Grant: Matching funds to enhance business properties.
- Big Pitch Event: Seed funds for local entrepreneurs.
- Marketing Grants: Support for small business marketing.
- Public Art: Art installations in the district.
- Placemaking: Improving parks and public spaces.
- Community Support: Backing events and improvements.
