Bluegrass & BBQ Festival moves to South Huntsville’s Christmas on the River at Ditto Landing for a Special Holiday Celebration!

After inclement weather forced the cancellation of the 7th Annual Bluegrass & BBQ Festival scheduled for October 10, South Huntsville Main and Madison County Commissioner Phil Riddick are excited to announce that the festival will be part of South Huntsville’s Christmas on the River at Ditto Landing for 2026.

This special collaboration between Ditto Landing, South Huntsville Main, and Commissioner Riddick brings together two South Huntsville celebrations for an afternoon and evening of bluegrass music, great food, and holiday cheer.

Three of the originally scheduled bands will return to the stage, joined by a new headliner for an afternoon and evening of outstanding bluegrass music!

• Mountain Laurel – 2-3PM
• The Poultry Pickers – 3:30-4:30PM
• Fireball Mail – 5-6PM
• Kenny & Amanda Smith – 6:30-8PM

In addition to great bluegrass music and BBQ, festivalgoers can enjoy some of the holiday attractions happening at Ditto Landing, including:

• Christmas Card Lane – Stroll along the greenway and enjoy a collection of oversized, beautifully decorated holiday cards.
• Reindeer Rails – Visit the East Harbor clubhouse for an indoor model train display that’s fun for all ages.

This is a special arrangement for 2026. The Bluegrass & BBQ Festival plans to return to its traditional home at Southside Park in October 2027.
